Description
Fiber optic Fusion splicing is an important method of joining two fiber optic cores together. Fiber optic splicing is designed to Bind Breaked fiber optic cable core. In case they are accidentally broken. Nowadays, fiber optic splicing is widely using in on site applications of Automation, Cable connections & Applications, Links and networking projects.
Typically, fiber optic splices will do by fusion splice and mechanical splices. This can be 1 minute procedure to Fusion the core from both sides for specific temperature and Protected by Heat sleeve supported with Metal Rods.
Fusion Splicing
Fusion splicing is a Modern Technique to do connection of two or more optical fibers Together. This is the most widely used method of fiber optic splicing. Because it provides the lowest loss, less reflectance, strongest and most reliable joint between two fibers. Will complete this method using splicing machines. Generally, there are four basic steps in the fusion splicing process.
Stripping of the Optic fiber Cable
We can Strip the fiber with the help of specific tool to strip Armored or Unarmored Cable and its Jacket, Yarn, Inner strength Member and Buffer Cable till get the actual core.
Cleave or Cutting of Optic fiber Core
After Getting Strip we Use Standard Cutter to Cut Core in specific length and dia to achieve 0db Loss Splice.
Fuse the Optic fiber Core
Align and The Heating process completing in this method with the help of Fusion splicing machine for specific temperature. Machine automatically align the fiber and Joint also fuse With Loss Calculation. 0dB is the Standard Loss Splice to succeed The Operation.
Protect the Splice
The fusion splice has a tensile strength between 0.5 and 1.5 lbs. with the help of using Splice sleeve 45mm or 60 mm Length standard silicon grade with FRP rod strength member to Protect Fusion splice from both side with circular Permanent Joint or splice.
